The Alaskan Husky isn’t a pure breed
With its wolf looks, smoldering intensity and icy blue eyes, you can admit that this breed comes us definitely mixed, it’s just too pretty. This dog hails from the Alaskan villages and a mixture of Northern dog breeds like the German short-haired pointer, greyhound, and the Siberian Husky. This is why they come in different looks and colors. Because they’re not pure breeds, they are classified as work dogs and not recognized in clubs.
They have excellent endurance
These dogs can go on for miles and miles. Their endurance is second to none and this is the second reason they’re used in sled races. The first being they’re really fast. This dog is termed to be the 7th in the world with respect to speed as they travel at 28 miles per hour. They’re also perfect for running marathons, travels or going long distances. Hence, they are the perfect workout buddies. They actually do love running and exercising. With the Alaskan Husky, you can’t run out of motivation.
They like it cold
These dogs actually prefer winter and cooler climates. They actually cannot survive in humid or hot temperatures and they’re used to temperatures below freezing point. This is because of their thermal underlayer and thick fur which keeps them warm. In already warm climates, this breed suffers and may eventually die. They feel the same way as you would if you wore thick winter clothes during the hot summer.
They are usually calm
