Running a charity is not as easy as it looks, some kind-hearted organizers even get ripped off along the way!
– Sue Smith has been rescuing dogs for years through the K9 Crusaders Charity organization.
– Smith fell victim to a fraudster, Katrina Jones, who stole almost £90,000 from the charity.
– Did Smith cope with such a huge loss? Find out!
It’s almost ten years now since Sue Smith met Katrina Jones in a dog convention. Unknown to Sue, her life was going to change… unfortunately, not for the BETTER, but for the worst!
Sue Smith was on the verge of desperation when she met Katrina Jones in 2009. Smith was very busy running the charity, rescuing more than 3,000 dogs, and it was at that year too when her husband was diagnosed with cancer.
Jones saw Smith’s weakness and acted all supportive and helpful about the charity’s projects. Eventually, Jones earned Smith’s trust and was allowed administrative work at the charity.
Little did Smith know that Jones has been running from the law, after stealing almost half a million pounds (£394,000 to be exact) from three businessmen.
